SuperServe helps entertainment brands, creators and IP build audiences that care.
We turn attention into engagement, engagement into relationships, and relationships into communities of fans who participate, advocate and come back for more. We combine audience strategy, content, community and digital execution to help our clients find the right people, and give those people reasons to care more deeply.
We’re a small, senior-led team, and we bring together smart, curious people with different disciplines and perspectives for each project. We move quickly, think deeply, care about the details and hold the work to a high standard.
This is who we're looking for now:
Comedy Writer
| Non-union | Remote | Experienced |
Looking for a comedy writer for a small freelance assignment.
We’re looking for someone to write questions and scenarios for a new digital comedy game show about influencer culture, awful people, and the desperate, thirsty things people do in pursuit of fame and fortune.
This is a small gig to start, but the sensibility matters a lot.
We're thinking this is someone who is:
-
Genuinely funny - comedy writing experience strongly preferred
-
Fluent in pop culture, internet culture and the general insanity of being online
-
Comfortable going a little dark, provocative and inappropriate when the joke earns it
-
Great at writing questions that provoke wild stories, uncomfortable choices, arguments, confessions and colourful answers
-
Ideally has experience writing for game shows, panel shows, comedy formats, podcasts, digital series or live entertainment
This isn’t trivia and we don’t need conventional game-show questions. We want prompts that make a contestant hear the question and immediately think:
“Oh shit. You’re really making me answer that?”
It’s a small paid assignment with a quick turnaround, with the potential for more work as the format develops. This is a non-union job.
If this sounds like your particular flavour of fun, email us at hello@superserve.me with a little about yourself and a couple of relevant writing samples/credits. Please make sure the subject line is: Comedy Writer
And please feel free to tag someone who would be great for this.
We’ll review applications as they come in and reach out to candidates we’d like to meet. And if you've read this far, thank you for your interest in SuperServe.
Freelance Graphic Designer
| Freelance | Remote | Ongoing | Hourly |
We’re looking for a talented freelance graphic designer to become one of our go-to creative partners for ongoing social content.
You’ll work with the SuperServe team to create smart, polished, platform-native content for entertainment brands, creators and other clients. The work will vary from social graphics, carousels, memes, campaign assets, promotional creative, simple motion and whatever else the idea calls for. Video editing is a bonus.
We’re looking for someone with strong design instincts who understands that great social creative shouldn’t always look like an ad. You should be equally comfortable working within an established brand system and finding creative ways to push it.
This is freelance, hourly work on an ongoing basis. Some weeks may be busier than others, and assignments will vary by client and project. We’re looking for someone we can get to know, trust and throw work to regularly - not an agency.
You’re probably a good fit if you:
-
Have a strong portfolio of digital and social-first design work
-
Have excellent typography, composition and visual instincts
-
Understand how creative works differently across social platforms
-
Can work quickly without making the work feel rushed
-
Are comfortable taking a brief and running with it
-
Can adapt to very different brands, audiences and voices
-
Sweat the details and check your own work before handing it off
-
Communicate well and reliably hit deadlines
-
Are comfortable collaborating with strategists, writers and content teams
-
Bonus: motion graphics, video editing, illustration or meme/internet-culture fluency
To apply:
Email us at hello@superserve.me with portfolio, hourly rate, location/time zone, and a short note about yourself. Please include examples of social content you’ve designed, not just brand identity or traditional graphic design work.
Independent freelancers preferred. No agencies, please.
